Stock flashing fits a building that does not exist. Every roofline has angles, transitions and details that off-the-shelf parts approximate at best — and "approximate" is where roofs leak. We bend metal in-house to the profile the building actually has. On-site assessments are $150.
What's involved
Fabrication happens after the measure, not before — which is the whole point.
Standing seam · Flashing · Cladding · Trim
Concealed fasteners, clean vertical lines, and effectively immune to hail. It costs more than asphalt up front and it will outlast several shingle roofs. On a property you plan to keep, or a roofline that deserves it, that maths works.
Valleys, chimney and wall transitions, drip edge, kick-outs. This is where roofs actually fail, and where a stock part that nearly fits eventually does not. Bent to the real angle, it stops being a weak point.
Accent panels, column wraps, parapet capping and custom trim, colour-matched to your siding or roofing. It is the detail that makes an exterior look designed rather than assembled from whatever the supplier had.
Bring us a sample or the original colour name and we will match it or tell you plainly that we cannot. Close-but-not-quite on a visible elevation is worse than an honest contrast.
Asphalt is the standard choice and the right one for most reroofs — lower upfront cost, wide colour range, and Class 4 options built for hail. Standing seam metal costs more to install but sheds snow and hail better and lasts considerably longer. It usually comes down to budget, roof pitch and how long you are planning to stay. We will walk through the trade-offs on site rather than pushing the expensive option.

If you plan to stay in the house, often yes — it will outlast several shingle roofs and shrugs off hail that would write off asphalt. If you are selling in three years, probably not. We will tell you which one applies to your situation.
Far less than people expect. Over a solid deck with underlayment it is close to a shingle roof. The noisy version everyone remembers is metal over open purlins on a barn or shed, which is a different assembly entirely.
Yes, and on the prairies that is mostly an advantage — less snow load sitting on the structure through winter. Where it sheds onto a walkway, door or driveway, snow guards get built into the design rather than added later.
That is exactly where in-house fabrication earns its keep. Older homes rarely match current stock profiles, so parts get measured and bent to what is actually there.
