Windows are where a prairie house loses most of its heat and where most water gets in. Both problems are usually installation, not the unit itself.

We install windows and doors on new builds and retrofits, and finish the openings properly so they look intentional rather than patched around.
Retrofit installation
Replacing units in an existing wall without tearing the whole elevation apart. The critical work is at the perimeter — flashing, sealing and trim. Done badly it looks fine on day one and leaks by the second spring.
New build and full openings
Where the wall is already open, we can set the openings properly from the start, with correct flashing sequence and insulation at the jambs.
Soundproof glazing
Worth considering on a busy street or a main road. The difference in a front bedroom is more noticeable than most people expect.
Trim and finishing
Finished in LP SmartTrim or Hardie trim to match your cladding. Trim is where a window job looks either finished or improvised, and it is the part cheap quotes cut.

Can you replace windows in winter?
Yes. Openings are done one at a time so the house is never open for long. Sealants have temperature limits, so extreme cold may move a date, but winter window work is routine.
Do windows come with the siding job?
They can, and doing both together is usually cheaper than doing them separately — the flashing and trim only get done once. It is quoted as its own line so you can compare.
Will new windows cut my heating bill?
They help, but anyone promising a specific percentage is guessing. Old single-pane or failed double-glazed units are worth replacing on comfort alone; the saving is a bonus, not the business case.
